Our alumni partners have always been the cornerstone of the Discovery Externship Program. Their support of the current generation of K students by opening their homes, jobs, and lives is the foundation on which the program is built.

In an effort to enable more alumni to participate in the program, we’ve expanded the range of ways alumni can engage. Most notably, alumni may now offer externship opportunities that do not include a homestay. Alumni may also partner with other alumni in their area to provide a workplace and homestay combination where one alum hosts the student in the workplace and the other hosts the student for the homestay.
