Upcoming Recruiting Events

“Conventional career fairs pass the point of diminishing return because recruiters feel pressured to talk to too many students and walk away with few quality conversations with qualified candidates. At Kalamazoo College, we had the opportunity to have many quality conversations with quality candidates. Wow.” A.J. Dunn, Green Growth Solutions

Thank you for your interest in recruiting graduates of Kalamazoo College for opportunities in your company or organization. Please mark the following dates on your calendars and register now to attend the following…

  • Recruiting Expo, September 25, 2019 —An evening of employer and graduate school information tables and sessions led by recruiters, in an informal atmosphere. There is no fee for an information table or an information session led by recruiters in person or via Skype. Average attendance at recent expos has been around 100 students, from first-years to seniors with goals ranging from information gathering to full-fledged searching for internships or post-grad opportunities. Have questions? Please contact Keri Bol. Registration coming soon.

The CCPD will devote increased staff resources to promotion, organization, and superior support of recruiters who commit to visiting campus during these events. As we focus our resources on these special events, we will not host recruiters during other times of the year. By concentrating our efforts, we will create a campus-wide buzz and increase student attention to employment possibilities.

We appreciate your interest in the past and we hope you will take advantage of our upcoming opportunities to connect with outstanding, hardworking undergraduate students who are well-prepared to contribute their talents and energy to your organization.

Nearby at WMU: The CCPD partners with our local colleagues several times a year on graduate school and career fairs, most notably, Western Michigan University Career Fair. K students attend our neighbor’s annual career fair in February, which typically includes over 150 employers in the WMU student center. CCPD provides free van transport for students from K to WMU. Recruiters with questions about these fairs may email Amanda Jeppeson, Employer Engagement Assistant or call 269.387.2745 or email Buffy Nespodzany, Assistant Director for Employer Relations and Job Development.

Graduate School Recruiters: The CCPD also partners with Western Michigan University’s Graduate and Professional School Fair. For more information on this annual October fair, please email Malia Roberts or call 269. 387.8210.
